Characterizing a Sugen-Hypoxia Rat Model of PAH

Study Design

Male Sprague Dawley rats from a Su- gen-hypoxia model of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) were administered SU5416 (60 mg/kg) under hypoxia (13% O2) and were sacrificed at either 28 or 56 days. The lung was collected and evaluated by pathology and image analysis for features typical of the model. In-life phase was performed at CorDynamics.
